Tėčio dieną šiais metais paminėjom itin smagiai - į sostinę atvažiavo mano tėtis, tad nusprendėme pakeliauti aplink Vilnių. Žinoma, Trakai ir Užutrakis yra vieni iš artimiausių ir įspūdingiausių objektų, tačiau Kernavė, bent jau man, juos lenkia visa galva.
Atriedėję į Kernavę ramiai pasivaikščiojome po visus Pajautos slėnyje esančius piliakalnius, pasigrožėjome žydinčių žolynų gausa (o kokios spalvos!..), grįždami į automobilį parduotuvėlėje nusipirkome ledų. Ir buvo taip gera niekur neskubėti, pavaikščioti basom po pievą ir uosti tą nupjautos žolės ir srūvančio vandens (ačiū netoli tekančiai Neriai) kvapą...

This year I got to celebrate Dad's day differently - my Da came to Vilnius, so we decided to go on a little trip. Trakai castle and Užutrakis manor are, what you call, "a must", but Kernavė (an archaeological site, included in the UNESCO world heritage list) is something totally out of this world for me...
We walked through the Pajauta valley, climbed the mounds, enjoyed all the blooming flowers and weeds. On our way to the car we bought some ice cream and it really felt like paradise. There's nothing better in this world, than take off your shoes, feel the grass beneath your feet and smell the fresh running water (thanks to Neris river!)...
